If you do things right you will increase your disosition with the NPC.ģ) If the faces are a problem download the mod Oblivion Character Overhaul version 2.

The trick is to find the two that increase it and use the larger two pieces to get big boosts in disposition and use the smaller pieces on the two that decrease it so it decreases disposition by only a small amount. Two of the four directions will increase disposition and two will lower it. The mini game is really easy once you figure it out. Use these weapons until you find something better or use them as backups since they don't count against your weight limit.Ģ) You don't really need to use the speechcraft minigame much early on although you may need to use it for one of the Mages Guild recommendation quests. They are quest items which means they are weightless so they will help you until you are stronger since they wonlt count against your max encumberance. Then go to the Fighters guild to accept a contract. Talk to people to find him and he will run to Chorrol. Go to Cheydinhal to talk to Reynalds lookalike.

Go to the tavern and talk to the drunk Reynald Jemane for the first in a series of three quests the last of which rewards you with a very good sword.Ĥ) Once the quest is active exit Chorrol and head to Weynon Priory to talk to Jauffre to progress the main quest and obtain some armor, weapons, and a horse for travelling. You can join the Fighters Guild and Mages Guild there. Any advice would be appreciated.ġ) When you exit the prison tutorial you are told you can do what you want, but if you want to follow the story so you have something to do until you figure things out you need to go to Weynon Priory to deliver the amulet which is part of the main quest.įast travel to Chorrol. I really really want to like this game, and I really want another amazing experience like the one I had with Skyrim. Why did they think that ratios of facial features were a good way to create characters? Half of the NPC's I meet make me think I'm playing in a weird resolution because their faces look squished ridiculously.Ĥ) Are there any carriages to take me to cities?ĥ) Is anything in this game as good as the Dark Brotherhood questline, because after playing this game for awhile, it seems like this is really the only cool thing about it.Īpologies if it sounds like I'm hating. Where are all of the good quests that Oblivion is supposed to be famous for?Ģ) What the hell is with disposition? Can you only rotate that damn circle one time per conversation? Am I just going to have to cheat in a bunch of gold and bribe everybody?ģ) I don't think this one can be helped, but the faces. In Oblivion, everyone seems super generic and most of the "rumors" are just advertisements for various shops. It seems to me that in Skyrim, talking to random NPC's will inevitably net you some interesting quests.

I tried to join the Fighter's Guild, but was sent to a different city so that I could simply join the faction. The only quest I got is Imperial Corruption. Here are some of the issues I'm having, and you can tell me if they're just something I'll have to get used to, or if I'm doing something wrong.ġ) I ran around the Imperial City for like an hour and couldn't find anything really interesting to do. I really want to get into this game, but I'm having a really hard time of it. I recently bought Oblivion, mainly because I had read so many forum threads saying that all of the faction quest lines were done far better in Oblivion. First things first, the first Elder Scrolls game I have ever played was Skyrim, so I apologize to all of you diehards out there for not swearing by Morrowind or whatever.
